The beautiful well-formed blades on this stibnite on matrix shine iridescently when it catches the light. While catching rainbows on its blades is fun, the slender curved metallic blades of stibnite can resemble Arabian swords. Stibnite's crystal clusters are admired for their distinctive look with dozens of acicular or bladed crystals jutting out in many divergent directions.
HOWEVER, Stibnite is toxic and can be harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Most of the risk is long-term, chronic exposure to its dust. While a crystal sitting on your shelf doesn't pose a health risk you should wash your hands after handling it, keep it out of reach of children, and please don't lick the stibnites (not that you’d lick any crystal… right? 👀).
