Golden Bird in Snow

The golden Phoenix was huddling in the snow, about to go into hibernation as it was too cold to fly. The snow fell gently on its golden feathers, a contrast against its sparkle of gold.

This is a lustrous, golden siderite with feathered blades on matrix, with calcite snow growth and calcite growth on the matrix. It weighs 2.8" and measures 5" across. View its video here.
