April the Pink Opalite Giraffe

The famous giraffe, April, who produced five calves in her lifetime, was 20 when she died. Giraffes in captivity have an average life expectancy of 20 to 25 years; their life span in the wild is about 10 to 15 years. Here we have April, her baby daddy Oliver and calf Azizi in a family portrait.
